Space is limited

Well, in the random occurances of the universe which are recorded throughout such books as hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy and Dirk Gently's Private Dectective service, I think I've decided to start writing again. Or perhaps it's because I've recently acquired a job at my school's newspaper, the Caascade, in which case I will be absolutely sick of writing by this week and this entry will merely serve as evidence of those odd universal experiences where people take one more kick at the can at something before it finally dies.

I will remember these times

So here's the crew I went surfing to tofino with last weekend. Great people. THe purpose behind the trip was to celebrate Brent's 25th birthday. I was too lazy to bring my camera to the beach, so this post consequently lacks any evidence of surfing whatsoever, and just shows Brent's party on Saturday night. It was a fun time. I'm gonna miss him when he leaves.

So here's shot of the living room. Up and to the left there was a loft, and to the right on the main floor there were 3 bedrooms. All together, this sweet pad slept 11 comfortably. It was great, only 10 minutes from Longbeach0

This is a post just to get Steve Hubbard off my back. You can check out his blog (which is much cooler than mine) from the links on the right hand side of the page. Oh yeah, the pic is of the group I went to Tofino with this last weekend. The guy in the blue navy hoodie is Brent, and we went for his birthday. We managed to fit some surfing in on the side as well.

Surf's Up!

Well, sorry to be redundant, but I'm off tonight for a weekend at Tofino! Some friends and I are going up for my friend Brent's Birthday celebration. 9 people: that means we'll have our own rat pack - let the locals harass us now! Anyways, we scored a sweet cabin, with tons of rooms. It's funny the way this trip is coming together: every new email relates how the ferry we're catching is earlier than the previously planned one. So far we're down to the 7am. Early enough for me. At least this way we get a whole afternoon in the water. Cowabunga.

It's Gonna Be a Good Summer

The epic trip has gone and past. Me and my friend Brent went south of the border to Westport, WA this weekend. Needless to say it was a blast. The swell was nothing to brag about, but the weather was phenomenal, giving us a leg on the tanning competition. This pic is us in line at the border. I had the fortune to inform Brent that the Whitehouse was not in Washington state, but rather in Washington DC. It was a funny moment.

We knew this was gonna be a good weekend.

Brent checking out the swell at a spot called The Groins on Friday Night.

As you can see, the weather was nice, but this particular spot (the Jetty) is pretty much a big mess as far as the break is concerned. Later that day we went to the Groins, which had two clean breaks. Now that was a good time. The only downer is that there was about 25 people in the water catching a wave probably only 50-100 feet long.

Making Instant Oatmeal is an extremely complicated process that requires precise timing and intense concentration. Do not attempt this at home.

We ran into some bros who invited us to join thier rap group. We didn't quite make the cut.

We're pretty sure its after 12 ...

New Music

So my friend Sherre Plett is recording a new album, soon to be released. Rumor is that it's going to be absolutely amazing. I definately reccommend checking her out if you haven't done so already. I outright stole this picture from my friend Steve's blog, who's one of the producers of the album. Check it out.
  • Steven's Super Awesome Blog
  • Thats Jeremy, Sheree's husband. I think he's laying down a Bill Gaither track as a secret song. I look forward to hearing it.
